Via Woodside to victory
A 6637 metre-long par 72 18-hole championship course, Woodside at Golf Sempachersee is Switzerland's longest. Designed by the German golfing architect Kurt Rossknecht, Woodside occupies a demanding terrain with a lot of water, which is what lends it its tournament character.
The 17th hole, usually par 5, becomes par 4 for the Swiss Challenge. That is why Woodside is played as a par 71 course during the tournament week.
